The Marquette Senior High School Class of 1976 has created a scholarship in honor of their 50th class reunion in 2026.

The annual $500 scholarship(s) will be awarded to a MAPS graduating senior(s) who is planning to attend a form of continuing education.

The Spirit of ‘76 emits emotions of Pride, Determination, and a deep Sense of Purpose. The Spirit of ‘76 symbolizes the Spirit of U. S. Independence and Love for Country. It defined the American Revolution and the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This spirit of beliefs and actions represent the foundation of America.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights – Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
