The Marquette Rockestra Scholarship has been established by a group of local musicians who are passionate about supporting student’s pursuit of the arts. The founding members of this scholarship feel that people who create art – whether it be writing, performance or visual arts – are a principal part of the fabric of a healthy society.

In order to raise money for the Marquette Rockestra Scholarship Fund, local musicians volunteer their time to put on an annual concert. Funds may also be raised through private donations and secondary events that volunteer musicians participate in.

The recipient of this award will meet the following requirements:

• Plan to attend college in an arts or arts-related field – including music, writing and visual arts.
• Should be creative
• Is active in community service
• Shows a financial need
