The Marquette Police Department Scholarship was established through the generous donations of current, former and retired members of the Marquette City Police Department. Comprised of 34 sworn officers and 5 support staff, the Marquette City Police Department feels it is our responsibility to start promoting the law enforcement profession and recruiting qualified men and women who choose to pursue a career that truly makes a difference in their community. Police departments throughout Michigan and the country are unable to fill vacancies due to a lack of qualified candidates. By investing in our youth through education, internships and scholarship opportunities, we can promote the dynamic and rewarding career of law enforcement.
