In 1970, the 1971 MSHS classmates and the 1971 Bishop Baraga High
School classmates merged when the Catholic school closed. Together,
we are known for working hard, civic mindedness and going with the
flow! To commemorate the 50th class reunion in 2021, we established a
scholarship for the benefit of the Marquette Area Public Schools ROCK
UP 1971! This monetary gift will be awarded to a student who shows due
diligence in their studies, is interested in studying at a trade/vocational
school or wants to attend a 2-year associate program in a higher
education university or community college. This student should
demonstrate a hard work ethic, most importantly, be considered an
unsung hero who is a good citizen, be involved in school-based
activities and is of good character.
